Can the foam crack, crumble, or wear out underneath?

No. Once it cures it’s a rigid, closed structure that doesn’t absorb water, rot, or attract pests. It doesn’t shrink back over time the way the wet sand-and-cement slurry from mudjacking can. That stability is the whole point of using it.
