  • Grinding shaves down the high edge. It can address smaller offsets, but it thins the slab, leaves a visible scar, and does nothing about the void underneath — the panel keeps settling and the hazard comes back.
  • Replacement removes the hazard but at several times the cost, with days of closure while the new pour cures.
  • Lifting corrects the actual cause (the slab sitting low, usually over a void), preserves the slab, and reopens the walkway the same day.
