What is void filling, and do I need it?

Sometimes a slab hasn’t dropped much yet but there’s already a hollow space under it. Tap it and it sounds empty. Void filling is injecting foam to pack that space before it turns into real settlement or a crack. If we find voids during your lift, filling them is part of doing the job right. It’s also what keeps the slab from flexing and cracking under load.
